This article analyzes how digital technologies have transformed the presence of the body in contemporary performing arts, exploring the new forms of performativity that emerge from the interaction between performers and technological environments. The study examines the evolution of technopresence and scenic posthumanism, key concepts for understanding the expansion of the actor’s body in the digital stage. From Robert Lepage and Cirque du Soleil’s stage automation to the virtual reality immersion in Le Bal de Paris by Blanca Li, emblematic cases are addressed where technology not only complements but reconfigures performativity. The article also highlights the impact of digital interactivity and the hybridization of languages in contemporary dramaturgy, as well as the challenges and opportunities these changes represent for both audiences and stage creators. Ultimately, it considers how these innovations expand the boundaries between the physical and the virtual, generating new immersive experiences and redefining the relationship between body, technology, and spectator.References
